A fresh burst of green pepper, cassis, crisp texture with typical cool piquancy, invigorating, well-structured acidity. An exciting personality!
History
Johannes brought his love of Sauvignon Blanc with him from an internship in New Zealand that he completed over 10 years ago in Marlborough at the winery of world-renowned cameraman Michael Seresin. The higher location of the Ried Mühlweg at 350 m above sea level and the temperature differences between day and night are ideal for the aromatic expression of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Through multiple harvests, a complexity of aromas is achieved, ranging from pepper and cassis to elderberry.
Vinification
Hand-picked ripe grapes, 24 hours maceration, initial fermentation with pure yeasts and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel - 18°, aging on the fine yeast - 2 months.
